Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what information MacroTerrain collects, why we use it, the service providers that process it, and the choices available to you.
1. Scope and operator
This Policy applies to macroterrain.ai, the MacroTerrain Weekly Brief, MacroTerrain account and research-access features, and related support communications. In this Policy, “MacroTerrain,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of these services.
MacroTerrain provides impersonal research and information services. It does not use account or subscriber information to provide personalized investment advice.
2. Information we collect
Weekly Brief subscriptions
When you join the MacroTerrain Weekly Brief, we collect your email address and a record of your affirmative consent. The consent record includes the consent version, exact consent text, consent timestamp, signup source, subscriber status, creation time, and update time.
Early-access requests
When you pre-register for MacroTerrain application access, we collect your name, email address, the access type you select, and a record of your affirmative consent to be contacted about early access, product availability, and account enrollment. The consent record includes the consent version, exact consent text, consent timestamp, request source, request status, creation time, and update time. The early-access form does not collect payment-card information.
Accounts and authentication
When account access is available, we may collect your name, email address, organization if you provide it, account identifier, authentication events, access dates, account status, and security information needed to authenticate and protect the service. Our authentication provider may process login credentials, verification information, IP address, device and browser information, and security logs. MacroTerrain does not receive your password in readable form.
Use, support, and submissions
We may receive access and security logs, IP address, browser and device information, pages or files requested, support communications, and corrections, sources, or other material you choose to submit. Do not submit confidential client information, material nonpublic information, or information you lack authority to share.
Sensitive and third-party information
MacroTerrain is not designed to collect government identification numbers, precise consumer geolocation, health information, biometric information, private financial-account credentials, material nonpublic information, or confidential client information. Do not submit those categories or personal information about another person unless MacroTerrain expressly requests it and you have lawful authority to provide it.
Billing information
MacroTerrain does not currently collect payment information through this public website. If paid subscriptions are introduced, Stripe is expected to process payment-card and billing information. MacroTerrain may receive billing contact information, customer and subscription identifiers, transaction status, payment method type, limited card details such as brand and last four digits, and records needed for billing, refunds, accounting, fraud prevention, and support. MacroTerrain will not receive or store full card numbers through Stripe’s hosted payment process.
3. How we use information
- Provide, authenticate, maintain, and secure the website, Weekly Brief, accounts, and research services.
- Record and honor email consent, deliver requested communications, and process unsubscribe requests.
- Evaluate and administer early-access requests and contact applicants about product availability and account enrollment.
- Administer access, trials, subscriptions, billing, support, and service notices when those features are offered.
- Investigate misuse, protect the service, enforce our Terms of Use, and comply with law.
- Maintain operational, consent, accounting, security, and dispute records.
- Improve reliability and understand service use using operational information. We do not currently deploy nonessential advertising or behavioral-analytics tracking on the public website.
4. Service providers
We use service providers only for legitimate operating purposes. Current or planned providers include:
- Cloudflare for domain, content delivery, security, website hosting, Workers, and the private D1 database used for Weekly Brief subscriptions and early-access requests. Cloudflare may process network and security information such as IP addresses, request metadata, and necessary security signals.
- Amazon Web Services, including Amazon Cognito, for authentication and related security records when account access is used.
- Stripe for payment and subscription processing if paid enrollment is introduced.
- Future email-delivery providers selected to send the Weekly Brief or other communications you requested. No email-delivery platform is connected to the current signup database as of this Policy’s last-updated date.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices and may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
7. Retention
We retain active subscriber records while a subscription remains active. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will suppress future marketing email and delete or de-identify information when reasonably possible. We may retain a limited consent, suppression, transaction, security, or legal record when needed to document compliance, prevent unwanted messages, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, or meet legal and accounting obligations.
Account, billing, access, and security records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and for applicable legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute periods.
8. Your choices and requests
You may unsubscribe from research emails using the unsubscribe method included in an email or by contacting hello@macroterrain.ai. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you. We may need to verify your request and may retain information when legally permitted or required.
9. Security, children, and changes
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information, including restricted database access and encrypted network connections. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
MacroTerrain is intended for business and professional users and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our services, providers, or legal obligations. The effective and last-updated dates identify the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the website or another appropriate method.
